We are thoughtful, engaged women wanting to change our Jewish community through our collaborative efforts in Oregon and SW Washington.

We would like to have impact on organizations whose work focuses on the areas of:

  1. Social Justice: Emphasizing programs and initiatives that seek to combat anti-semitism, fight bigotry and promote tolerance.
  2. Women and Girls: Emphasizing programs and services that enrich, enhance, and inspire Jewish women and girls in Oregon (giving preference to the greater Portland and SW Washington Jewish community). Programs could be in any number of realms including, but not limited to Jewish continuity/identity, health, social justice, or basic needs.
  3. Jewish Continuity: Emphasizing programs and initiatives that seek to help strengthen Jewish identity through engagement, arts, culture or education.

Custom Questions

Some grants require specific questions to be answered in order to make a decision. Every applicant will be required to answer the following questions in order to successfully complete the application process.

  1. Describe your leadership structure. How do volunteers assist in helping your organization fulfill its mission?

  2. Tell us a story that exemplifies the impact, challenge or learning experience you've had with your target population; we want to hear about a client or community group that you've touched and what your organization learned from the experience.

  3. How do you imagine your organization growing and changing in the next five years?

  4. What sets your organization apart from those doing similar work? What's your organizations relationship - both informal and formal - to other organizations working to meet the same needs or providing similar services? And, what partnerships have you developed with individuals or organizations for the project/program/initiative that you're currently seeking funding?

  5. What benchmarks will you be using to evaluate your project/program/initiative? How will you evaluate success?
