Location: Chisinau , Chisinau
Year founded: 2012

Description

History of the creation of our organization is very simple. In 2011, at the time we were JAFI workers. We decided that we can not do only what we're told to do, we want to do what is really necessary for the Jewish community of Moldova. Collected our own money and formed an organization that later became one of the leaders in its field. "Vulturas" - Nesharim – non-profit organization whose work is focused on self-identification and the development of Jewish youth and students and even Jewish families of Chisinau, which later become the leaders of the Jewish community and the motors Jewish life in Moldova. Members of our projects, the people who are interested in Jewish culture, Jewish tradition, Jewish History, Israel and what does it mean to be Jewish today. Strengthening of the Jewish Community in Moldova. Engaging young Jews in the Jewish community. Informal Jewish Education. Familiarity with Israel. The central idea and the strength of our organization is to work with Jewish content and work with Hebrew text whether it be images , movie or just an excerpt from the Tanakh or from Israel today. Also, we are doing educational work to people as a Jew and non-Jew to know the truth about Israel and the horrors that make the terrorists against Israel. Average age madrichim who work with people of about 25 years , so it 's not unusual for our region for other organizations madrichim average age of 20 years. We are an independent organization , we do not belong to what is not " Jewish giant " do not JAFI or JDC . We do not do those projects we are told to do , we do just those projects that are of interest to us and the Jews in Moldova. We need money in two purpose which we do not have. The first is a massive event for 200-300 people , which give us an opportunity to attract a lot of Jews who are unaffiliated. One such event is worth $ 2000-3000 but when on the event comes to 300 people it turns out that on one person should spend $ 10 and it is very high probability that it was the first event for Jewish. Thus we have a growing number of people involved in the life of the Jewish community. But in order to stay within the human is not enough of one event per yea , there should at least 3-4 per year. Moreover, the second is educational workshops/seminars for youth and students. That help for someone to learn deeper about Jewish traditions, history or Israel, but for someone to open in general the world of Jewish knowledge. Just three-day workshops/seminars are an ideal space for dating Jews who are unaffiliated with people who are well acquainted with the Jewish community. In addition, of course a great place to obtain knowledge. It was on such a seminar participant may ask the Rabbi who lectured or any professional who came to the workshops/seminar. For it is at these workshops/seminars winding real friendship which can then grow up into something more. Respectively such workshops/seminars would be held 4-5 times per year to be invited new people and Jewish professionals.

How do you measure the success of your program?

It is a brand new program for Republica Moldova. For evaluation, we use
two main performance indicator quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative we
are constantly monitoring how many people are coming to the project. We also
note the number of new members have not previously involved. Amount of the done
work to complete the project as a whole. Qualitative indicators are monitored
by the analysis prepared by the meeting before it starts and after its
completion as the objectives were achieved. Every seminar, we summarize and
analyze the results. It is also planned every two months to attract an outside
expert to monitor project.
