Program Accomplishments

  1. The cultural
activities and functions already being offered at BAS include its active and
dynamic religious school, junior and senior youth group, adult education
program, book club, Chavurah, Shabbat Alive, movies, and programs.

    • We wish to expand the list to include other activities
and functions that BAS is capable of offering, such as: craft projects for each
holiday (some of which are already in place such as Seder plates, menorahs,
etc.), cooking classes, girl scouts and boy scouts, contemporary speakers, performing arts center, literary destination for writers,
      workshops for jewelry-makers, ceramicists,
      sculpture, visual artists, poets, playwrights
and novelists, afterschool classes, lectures, social and
      political action programming

We hope to offer activities for youth programming,
adult and senior programming (both singles and couples), young marrieds, young
families, and Jewish organizations and synagogues.

Participants will be recruited by current
members of the synagogues, Rabbi involvement, and mailings.  We hope to be able to offer transportation to
seniors and the disabled.

Currently no program like this exists.  The Ocean County Federation is supportive and
has considered a JCC, but to date, nothing like this exists
